How I cured my PE ?
Hey everyone, PE used to be a big, persistent issue for me, but it hasn’t been in about a year. I don’t go on this sub anymore but I used to lurk a lot. Just wanted to share how I was able to cure it, and hopefully it’s helpful to some of y’all. But remember that everyone’s bodies and minds are different, so results may vary.
I stopped watching porn. Not completely, but I would go 3-4 weeks at a time before using it once.
I started masturbating for very long periods of time. 30mins-1.5hrs, maybe like 1-2 times per week. Sometimes I’d intentionally not finish. I felt like my brain was just always so eager to orgasm and this helped me retrain some of that.
I started having sex by going slower in the beginning and stopping if I began feeling too aroused. I realized if I could make it past like 2-3 minutes then I would have greater control over myself for the rest of it. This rarely worked in the beginning, but as sex lasted longer, my body got more used to the feeling and the “steady state” level of arousal became easier to achieve.
Fundamentally, I think this was about rewiring my brain to enjoy sex irrespective of the orgasm. I view sex kind of like dancing now, and the orgasm isn’t the goal and it’s not even the best part. I grew up masturbating trying to get myself to finish as quickly as possible, I think this is where my PE came from.
Its paradoxical that I cured my PE by having sex for longer periods of time, but this is how it happened for me. Very slowly in the first several months of actively trying, but then improvement occurred more quickly. I think changing my masturbation habits helped me bootstrap this process. Maybe a numbing gel would have helped too.
Anyways. Take this with a grain of salt! Everyone is different, but I hope this helps someone. This sub was definitely helpful for me at one point!
